We love this bright pink Fancy Flamingo with sleepy eyes.
Knitted from chunky yarn, the pattern is worked in stocking-stitch and uses simple increasing and decreasing to shape. Flamingo is knitted flat on 4.5mm straight knitting needles, so no knitting in the round is needed to make him.
Flamingo measures 55cm tall when completed.
Suggested Yarns: We used one ball of King Cole Big Value Chunky in Rose (1542) for the body, wings and feet and small amounts of King Cole Big Value Chunky in Cream (551) for the legs and beak. You’ll also need a very small amount of black chunky for the beak tip- we used Stylecraft Special Chunky in Black (1002). You can of course use any colour chunky yarns you have in your stash if you prefer.
You will also need:
- 4.5mm straight knitting needles
- Toy stuffing
- Darning needle
- Length of black Dk yarn for the eyes
