Hello! Welcome to Gift Horse Kits- where we design, handpack and post colourful knitting kits all over the world, from our studio in the Brecon Beacons.

Created by award-winning designer Addy Whitfield, our ever-growing collection of knitting kits has something for everyone- from absolute beginners upwards, and all of our knit kits are suitable for both adults and children.

We now also have a whole range of instantly downloadable knitting patterns

Dedicated to creating totally unique and quirky designs, we aim to show knitters of all ages that they can make something gorgeous even with basic knitting skills.

What's in our kits?

Our smart kit-boxes are packed with all the lovely things you'll need to make a soft and squeezable beastie (or beasties!) including plenty of yarn, high quality Pony™ knitting needles, wooden/plastic buttons, felt, stuffing, safe darning needles, beads and paper patterns.

All of our kits come with easy to follow, fully illustrated step-by-step instructions (and the guarantee of speedy post-purchase email help  if you do happen to get stuck!

Unlike many knit kits that are packaged in squashy paper bags, ours are attractively packaged in our signature Gift Horse kit box, tied with a ribbon and a handwritten tag to make them a bit more special. These kits make ideal gifts for even learner knitters, or you can knit the toys yourself to give as presents (or knit and keep them for yourself- we're sure you'll be tempted!

Do get in touch if you have any questions or comments about our kits, or if you would like to be kept updated with special offers and new kit launches.

                                  Happy Knitting!
