Humpty is worked flat on straight knitting needles, there is no working in the round needed to make him. Suitable for knitters with just a little experience, this project is a lovely introduction to knitting colourwork, with step-by-step illustrated instructions to take you through making the colourful ‘jumper’ section
To knit your Humpty you will need: chunky yarn of your choice (You can use any you have in your stash, but we recommend some below for you) You’ll also need long straight 4.5mm knitting needles, darning needle, toy stuffing and a pair of 9mm black toy safety eyes (or you can embroider the eyes, this is recommended if the toy is for a young child)
Dimensions: Humpty measures 55cm tall (21.5 inches) from toes to top of his hat when completed, the perfect size for hugging.
