Full of cheeky personality, knit up a clutch of cuddly mouse toys with a choice of three styles of summer dresses with this pattern.
Easy to follow, this knitting pattern has clear row-by-row instructions along with lots of photos to help you on your way.
You’ll need to be able to knit, purl, cast on and off, and increase and decrease to make these mice. All the pieces are knitted flat on straight needles so NO knitting in the round is needed.
To knit your mice you will need:
- Grey double knitting yarn of your choice for the mouse itself. We used Wendy Peter Pan Dk in Dove (PD13). As an alternative, James C Brett Top Value Double Knitting in Soft Grey (8458) is an almost identical grey colour)
- Small amount of pink double knitting yarn for making the fronts of the ears. We used Wendy Peter Pan Dk in Blossom (PD05)
- Dresses are knitted in any double knitting yarn you like (we again used various Wendy Peter Pan Dk colours)
- A pair of 3mm straight knitting needles
- Toy stuffing
- Darning needle
The finished mice measure 12 inches (30cm) tall. The three dress patterns included range from the very simple (the plain turquoise dress), to intermediate (bobbly pink dress) to more complex (the stripy textured dress) but you will be walked through making them all step-by-step.
