Designed as a simple introduction to knitting texture, this knitting pattern takes you step-by-step through knitting and making up a simple teddy bear in various types of knitting stitch. Suitable for knitters with basic knitting experience.
To make your teddy you will need: A pair of 3mm and a pair of 4mm straight knitting needles (3mm needles to knit the bear, 4mm needles to knit the hat and scarf) yarn in two colours (We use Rico Creative Cotton Aran (50g) in shade 34 Berry for the teddy, but you can also use any colour from (for example) the Sirdar Snuggly DK range, and a ball of red DK yarn for the hat and scarf, we recommend Sirdar Snuggly DK in 242 Flamenco), a pair of 9mm black safety eyes with click-on backs, yellow pompom, sewing needles, toy stuffing, cotton, scraps of felt.
