Knit the cuddliest chunky monkey with big ears, with our simple to follow knitting pattern.
Knitted flat on 4mm needles, and using simple increasing and decreasing, this knitting pattern gives you step-by-step instructions to make your monkey in any colour stripes you like.
To make your monkey you'll only need: 4mm knitting needles, a darning needle, two colours of DK yarn, a scrap of grey yarn for the features and some toy stuffing.
For the yarn we recommend: King Cole Big Value Baby DK yarn in PEACH (4066). You’ll need approximately one and a quarter of their 50g balls (or any other peach colour DK yarn you like) - A small ball of contrasting colour DK yarn for the stripes (for the pink we recommend Sirdar Bonus DK 992 but any Dk yarn will work) one 25g King Cole Dollymix DK yarn ball is more than enough yarn for example. Marriner DK Midget 25g is also the right size.
This pattern is aimed at intermediate to confident knitters.
Monkey measures 34cm tall when finished.
