Knit a colourful starry and stripy Christmas Stocking Garland with this new step-by-step knitting pattern.
Knitted flat (so there‘s NO working in the round needed) each of these mini stockings is worked in one piece and measures 11cm tall. You’ll need to be able to cast on, cast off, knit, purl and work decreasing stitches to make these quick knits.
Perfect for making a decorative garland for the fireplace or for hanging individually on the Christmas tree.
Suggested Yarns
We used: For the stocking main colours we used a selection of DK yarns- Glittery red: King Cole Glitz Dk in Cherry (481), Glittery green: King Cole Glitz Dk in Christmas Green (3307), Blue: Stylecraft Special Dk in Cornish Blue (1841), Yellow: Stylecraft Special Dk in Dandelion (1856) and for the white, King Cole Glitz Dk in Diamond White (483). You can of course use any double knitting yarns you like to make these stockings.
You’ll also need a pair of 3mm straight knitting needles and a darning needle.
